Fitting Metaphors for the U$

The performance of the national Christmas trees across from the White House, 1st one tree being removed due to a fungal disease, & then its replacement being toppled by the wind, are the perfect metaphors for the undertow of hatred & the blatant violence blowing away any remains of respect & decency in a nation to which naïve refugees continue to flee from their various hellhole countries. They think of it as some sort of safe refuge despite its horrendous history. When compared to the situations they are fleeing, however, I fear that for many it is.

The country’s roots of genocidal extermination & enslavement have finally shown themselves for the influential factors they have been just below the surface. Now tapped once again, they have allowed the nation to boil into blatant no-holds-barred hate-campaigning by the crass psychopaths competing for leadership positions in the highest & most powerful offices, offering nothing but promises of revenge & getting their way. History & politics are dangerous terrain being more cyclical than linear.

The U$ would have been better off electing a chimp instead of Trump in 2016. S/he might not have been a great leader, but s/he would not have launched the current chaos by prescribing hatred, violence, & drinking bleach. So many others would not have spiraled into the complete idiocracy & laughing stock the U$ has become once again…
